Collectables Records has licensed and released four more Percy Faith albums on two CDs. The first pairing is a reissue of the Chinatown album (originally The Entertainer) coupled with Summer Place '76. Both the track deleted from The Entertainer (Bend Me, Shape Me) and the track added on Chinatown (Theme from Chinatown) are included on the CD.

The second compilation is Joy, paired with Day By Day. Both were originally released in 1972. Four of the songs on Day by Day featured the Percy Faith Chorus.

Both albums can be purchased from Collectables.

Avid collectors of easy listening know that BMG in Spain has released some wonderful albums that have never seen the light of day here in the United States. Their commitment to this ongoing program continues with three new releases. These releases can be purchased though any retail source that sells imports. We were able to get them quickly from CD Connection.com.

Love Story by Henry Mancini (1970) was one of Hank's best selling albums. Although many of the cuts have appeared in compilations, only now can fans purchase the album in it's original form. (74321-96074-2)

Tracks: Theme from Love Story; Song from M.A.S.H.; Theme from the Hawaiians; Tomorrow Is My Friend (from Gaily, Gaily); The Harmonica Man (from Once a Upon a Time In the West); Whistling Away the Dark (from Darling Lili); Theme from Borsalino; Theme for Three (from Wait In the Dark); Loss of Love (from Sunflowers); Thank You Very Much (from Scrooge).

In 1965, Hugo Montenegro released Candy's Theme and Other Delights, an album of original compositions about women and girls who he had read about in fiction. The result was a delightful album that was largely ignored by retailers, as Hugo had not yet reached the peak of his popularity. The album went out of print much too quickly but many of the tunes will be familiar, as you've heard them on the radio. If you've got a good speaker system, be prepared to crank 'em up and make 'em talk on "Darlin' Jill"! (74321-96070-2)

Tracks: Candy's Theme; Kitten; Theme for Irma; Jean; Little Lo'; Fanny's Theme; Polly; Lady's Theme; Amber; Suzie; Darlin' Jill.

"Expect the unexpected" is what the liner notes say about Hugo Montenegro's Neil's Diamonds. Some of the songs are truly beautiful and some were cutting-edge avant-garde at the time of the album's release in 1973. All of the tracks were written by Neil Diamond but we'll wager that Neil never thought that "Porcupine Pie" would be performed like Hugo did it! This is an enjoyable album that should have been out on CD a long time ago. (74321-96072-2)

Tracks: Cracklin' Rosie; I'm a Believer; Song Sung Blue; Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show; Sweet Caroline; Porcupine Pie; Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon; Two-Bit Man Child; Walk on Water; Hurtin' You Don't Come Easy.
