Easy listening music wouldn't be the same without the driving force of wonderful music from the stage and the silver screen. Much of this music has been commemorated by awards but some really fine music also fallen into the realm of "near misses"--an unfortunate category when one stops to ponder how many really fine songs landed in this group. We've included a wonderfully-researched and well-written article that explores these songs--both the winners and losers, the good and the bad. It's a great read and well worth your time!
